"Classified Chinese Texts on Painting from Writings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties" Book Launch Issued in IPPH

On April 26, 2014, the New Book Launch of “Classified Chinese Texts on Painting from Writings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties’’, which is the largest literature integration of painting research till now, was held in IPPH. The series of books are the academic achievements of Professor Wei Bin with his seven years’ efforts. More than 42,600 pages of painting literature, which are scattered among the Writings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties of the Series of Siku books, are compiled in the series of books, which has 57 books in total, including 10 different literary styles and 47 anthologies of painters.
The New Book Launch was hosted by Liu Mo, the researcher from the Institute of Historical and Cultural Resources of Peking University. Lang Shaojun, thefamous art historian and researcher from China Art Research Institute, and Wang Hongjian--professor and doctoral tutor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Zhang Xiaoling, vice president of China National Academy of Painting, and Cai Jinsong,Minister of the Propaganda Departmentof Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronauticsattended the conference, as well as other scholars from universities and institutions in Beijing, including Tsinghua University, Central Academy of Fine Arts, China Academy of Art, China National Academy of Painting, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Beijing Forestry University, etc. In addition, more than twenty medias such as Artron, Sina, Netease, Sohu, Tencent, PhoenixNet and 99YS carried reports on the conference.
